In Germany, too many children and families still live in poverty. We want to change that! We help children and their parents with seemingly simple means, such as free lunch, free homework help and tutoring or talks and advice.
Since June 2012, the Arche has been operating a new leisure facility for children aged 6-12 in Düsseldorf-Wersten. The Arche had previously been active for a good three years in the premises of a former municipal children's club.
The offer of the new Ark in the Werstener Feld is free of charge and ranges from a warm lunch, help with homework and individual support for children to a varied leisure program. The romping room invites you to get rid of excess energy, you can draw, do handicrafts, read, play and discover and try out many a talent.
A team of full-time and honorary employees creates a varied program with open and fixed leisure activities, e.g. with workshops, weekly children's parties, birthday parties, a guitar course, billiards, Table football and excursions for up to 80 children.
Last but not least, the focus is on the personal relationship with the little visitors to the Ark. Camps for the children are also offered during the holiday periods.
